This is a full-time, administrative position.
Example of Duties:
Provide reference services, including bibliographic instruction to faculty, students, and staff. Communicate with faculty regarding collection development, research assignments, projects, and bibliographic library instruction. Conduct ongoing evaluation of the library collection, services, and materials. Make recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and other librarians in the development of OER and assist in managing the College's OER initiative. Works with state, regional, and national organizations to actively engage in activities and partnerships pertaining to innovative learning, technology, curriculum design and pedagogy and library science. Conducts information literacy sessions inclusive of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Understands and advocates for current trends and best practices in curriculum design for on-ground and distance courses. Works with faculty to (re)design courses in multiple modalities. Guides faculty in ADA compliance, Universal Design for Learning, and copyright and fair use. Provides support for online students. Works with the Distance Learning Department for the adoption of emerging technologies in support of teaching and learning. Perform other duties, as required. Qualifications:
ALA/MLS degree required. Service-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills and able to work collegially in a rapidly changing discipline. Work experience with computer applications and online databases. At least one (1) year of library work experience preferred. The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation:
Salary is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The starting salary for this position is $60,000.
