Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree Current state Physical Therapy license. Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential through BOC or SCS certification Current CPR/BLS certification.
Preferred
Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) certification. Dry needling certification (if permitted by state regulations).
Minimum Work Experience
Strong orthopedic and sports medicine clinical skills, required Experience working with middle school, high school, or collegiate athletics, preferred Previous outreach or sports medicine program development experience, preferred
Work Schedule
Full-time (40 hours/week). Typical clinic hours Monday–Friday. Some evening and weekend athletic event coverage required.

Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, sports-related, post-surgical, and musculoskeletal conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans and establish measurable goals. Perform evidence-based therapeutic interventions and manual therapy techniques. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, coaches, athletic trainers, and other healthcare professionals. Educate patients and families regarding injury prevention, home exercise programs, and wellness initiatives.
Athletic Training Services 50%
Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, sports-related, post-surgical, and musculoskeletal conditions. Develop individualized plans of care utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches. Perform advanced sports rehabilitation, return-to-sport testing, movement analysis, and performance assessments. Utilize manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and sports-specific interventions. Complete timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians, coaches, athletic trainers, strength coaches, and healthcare professionals. Educate athletes, patients, and families regarding injury prevention, wellness, and performance enhancement strategies. Develop and implement return-to-play and return-to-performance protocols.
Program Development
Build relationships with local schools, coaches, physicians, and community organizations. Participate in outreach events, sports medicine education programs, and community wellness initiatives. Support growth of sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation services. Assist with marketing and community engagement activities.
