What We're Doing Come join the CommandIQ® (CIQ) team – a product line established in 2025 with sizable investment and support from RMS senior leadership. We are developing mission critical Battle Management and Command & Control capabilities for a complete Command and Control mission suite. Our solution provides an open architecture as well as mission apps that can be customized to each user’s needs. Customers can also easily integrate their favorite tools into a single CommandIQ® Common Operating Picture (COP) to meet their own specialized mission requirements.
Responsibilities
Decompose higher‑level roadmap features into actionable work items
Design, implement, and integrate/test software features
Perform peer reviews for fellow software engineers and debug issues as they arise
Participate in technical discussions to define and solve overarching software architecture needs
Collaborate with cross‑functional peers to better understand project requirements and customer/stakeholder needs
Basic Qualifications
Experience/familiarity with Rust (or C), Python, and Java
Backend containerization experience using Docker
Framework development experience using gRPC
Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
3+ years of relevant work experience (an advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience)
Desired Skills
Experience in Agile Methodologies & Tools
Experience with container management using Kubernetes/Helm
Experience in a full‑stack engineering role
Experience with GitLab CI/CD
Development experience following REST guidelines
Previous IRAD experience
Active Secret Clearance
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. citizens. Clearance level: Secret.
