Job Description Performing less complex duties under the direct supervision (Range A/B) and more complex duties under the general supervision (Range C) of the Information Technology Supervisor I, guided by specific policies and procedures in a 24‑hour a day, 7‑day a week environment. The incumbent has primary responsibility for monitoring various systems and applications and performs a variety of technical duties in support of operating an assortment of information technology systems, including performing help desk functions related to troubleshooting and problem resolution for law enforcement agency personnel for system performance, availability, and network issues. The incumbent handles all tasks related to major computer systems, storage systems, printer components, environmental components, and Single Point of Operation tools and functionality.

Work Week: Thursday–Monday
Salary Range: $4,133.00 – $5,538.00 (A), $4,485.00 – $6,011.00 (B), $4,934.00 – $6,613.00 (C). New‑to‑State candidates hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications for the classification are required for all ranges. Alternate Range Criteria 482 apply for employees meeting the following:
Completed one year of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Technician, or completed an additional 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college or university.
Completed two years of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Technician, or completed an additional 60 semester or 90 quarter units from an accredited college or university.
Use of education to meet the alternate range criteria requires at least 6 semester units (or 9 quarter units) of information technology or closely related coursework, such as software engineering, computer engineering, Management Information Systems, Geographic Information System, or computing technology.
