Position Type: Student Support Services/Speech and Language Pathologist Date Posted: 6/11/2026 Location: Center Elementary and Windermere Elementary Date Available: 08/24/2026 Description: Ellington Public Schools is seeking a .4 Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the 2026-2027 year. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team servicing students pre-K-6 that collaborates to ensure students reach high levels of success. Ellington Public Schools offer a highly collaborative environment where educators and parents work together as a team to ensure students meet with success.
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports the delivery of speech and language services to students under the direct and ongoing supervision of a certified and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLPA assists in implementing IEP-related services and activities for students, in accordance with Connecticut State Department of Education guidelines and district practices. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience preferred Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (C-SLPA) Experience working with pre-k/elementary-aged children in educational settings preferred Ability to work onsite in the school environment Strong communication and organizational skills A state and national criminal check will be required as well as a DCF search.
