About the job
Our client, a large digital music, podcast, and video service, is looking to hire an
Back End Developer
to join their team.
Responsibilities
This candidate will join our newly formed team inside Content Platform from August until November to help us proactively flag content that are violating certain safety policies in visual entities containing image and video. You should expect to work mostly with backend services (Java) and event streaming pipelines (Scala, Pubsub) to consolidate the detection for all entities with other proactive safety mechanisms that we currently support. Consolidate some detection flows so we can take advantage of our new capability to automatically remove content from our storage. By the end of this work we also expect to be able to deprecate 10% of our system inventory and make the maintenance of the current components more sustainable for one team. We will also be releasing a dashboard to track the quality and performance of this new proactive detection flow. You will also get the experience of working in a cross timezone team spread through multiple cities in the world (New York, London, Amsterdam and Milan) where we empower more async work and communication. 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer Java experience Scala experience Data streaming experience BigQuery is a plus, Google Cloud
