À propos

Company Overview MicroGenDX is a CAP‑accredited, CLIA‑licensed molecular diagnostics company specializing in qPCR and Next‑Generation Sequencing (NGS) microbial testing. With over 700,000 DNA sequencing tests processed and a proprietary database of 57,000+ microbial species, we provide clinicians with rapid, accurate insights to guide targeted treatment—especially for hard‑to‑detect infections.
Beyond our lab services, we design and build software, tools, and digital solutions that empower providers across wound care, ENT, orthopedics, urology, and women’s health to diagnose faster and treat smarter, advancing antimicrobial stewardship.
Job Summary The Junior Solutions Architect, AI Operations is a specialized technical role responsible for designing and implementing the "connective tissue" between MicroGenDX’s core software stack and emerging AI capabilities. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will focus on architecting automated workflows that replace legacy manual processes and offshore dependencies. This is not a standard feature‑development role; it is a systems‑thinking position dedicated to building the autonomous infrastructure of the future.
Join MicroGenDX and help build the AI infrastructure powering the future of precision diagnostics—where advanced automation, regulatory compliance, and patient safety intersect.
Compensation Range The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
Benefits Include
Medical, dental, and vision insurance
401(k) with company match
Paid time off and paid holidays
Opportunity to work directly with executive leadership on high‑impact AI initiatives
Duties/Responsibilities AI Architecture & Orchestration
System Integration: Design and deploy secure "glue code" (Python and C#) enabling Large Language Models (LLMs) to interact with internal diagnostic and operational databases.
Agentic Workflow Design: Architect and implement autonomous AI agents that execute complex, multi‑step business logic.
Technical Auditing & Traceability: Serve as the primary architect for the company’s Model & Prompt Registry, ensuring all AI‑driven decisions are version‑controlled, auditable, and fully traceable.
Governance, Compliance & NIST Alignment
Security‑by‑Design Frameworks: Translate the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) into actionable technical guardrails for AI systems and agents.
Regulatory Safeguards: Architect compliant data flows that maintain 100% HIPAA and CLIA compliance, preventing sensitive data from leaking into public or third‑party LLM training sets.
Operational Transformation
Offshore Knowledge Ingestion: Lead the technical knowledge transfer from legacy offshore codebases into MicroGenDX’s internal, AI‑augmented development environment.
Strategic Prototyping: Rapidly build proof‑of‑concept (PoC) solutions to help the CTO demonstrate measurable ROI from AI initiatives to executive leadership.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including bioinformatics, IT, and software engineering, to ensure data and AI tools align with business needs.
Maintain technical documentation for AI orchestration workflows, architectural decisions and governance controls.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies, including a signed NDA.
Adhere to all company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON‑based workflows, and system integration patterns.
Working proficiency in Python (AI orchestration and automation).
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex manual or fragmented processes and architect scalable AI‑Powered automation solutions.
Comfortable working in fast‑moving environments with evolving technical requirements and emerging AI technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and systems‑level debugging skills across interconnected software components.
Awareness of secure software development and data handling practices.
Preferred Skills/Abilities
Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD deployment workflows.
Foundational proficiency in C# for core application and system integration.
Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks.
