Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Provide reassurance, accurate education, and clear instructions to patients, responding promptly to telephone triage. Ensure medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date; prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories. Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly. Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications. Coordinate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications regarding test results. Administer immunizations and invasive procedures with proper consent, distribute educational materials, and support patient understanding of treatments and medications. Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment. Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations. Education and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Alternatively, a minimum of five years of relevant clinical experience in a medical practice.
Work Shift: Day shifts, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, scheduled as needed. This opportunity is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States, offering a supportive environment for professional growth and patient-centered care.
