This position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent plus a minimum of 6 months full time experience as a nursing assistant in a long-term geriatric setting. Requires a spirit of cooperation and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and growth. Proven leadership skills necessary. Good observation skills are required. The position requires the ability to treat patient information confidentially. The individual must be well organized and the ability to understand and show compassion to senior adults is essential. Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) effectively in English with residents, family and staff.
Physical Requirements: The majority of time is spent between standing and walking. There is considerable amount of bending, stooping and supporting residents. Must be able to lift weights of 25 pounds, 50 pounds with assistance and the ability to support weights of 100 pounds. Manual dexterity and keen vision are necessary in use of equipment. May be exposed to unpleasant conditions and is at risk of exposure to potentially infectious material as part of the routine job functions. Compensation Pay Range: $18.15 - $24.14 per hour A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $18.15 - $24.14 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
