Essential Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate documentation following organizational policies. Demonstrate proficiency in patient care aligned with department competencies and procedures. Administer, check, and reconcile medication administration records (MARs) while maintaining accurate medication lists in collaboration with providers and pharmacies. Educate patients on medication compliance according to state-approved protocols. Contribute to positive patient outcomes through effective care techniques. Meet scheduling needs including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties. Uphold privacy and security standards related to Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster professional communication and relationships with patients, team members, and external partners. Education and Experience: Completion of an approved CMA training program is required. Candidates must be at least 21 years old. Licenses and Certifications: Current CMA certification valid in the state of Kansas. BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider must be obtained within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation. Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of professional experience in a similar healthcare environment is preferred. Skills and Abilities: Strong medication administration skills, effective verbal and written communication, proficient computer literacy, and solid understanding of math, dosing, and pharmacology. Physical Requirements: Light physical work involving occasional exertion up to 25 lbs and frequent exertion up to 10 lbs. Standing or walking may be required 11-25% of the workday.
