Certification and Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting Three (3) to five (5) years of purchasing experience may be substituted in lieu of formal training or education Pharmacy Technician License Valid Texas driver's license Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Computer literate with excellent communication and analytical skills Preferred: L-TX-Pharmacy Tech certification, BLS (AHA), C-PTCB Pharmacy Tech CPhT certification Two (2) year degree is preferred, but not required College coursework with an emphasis in business or accounting-related courses is highly desirable Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is highly desirable Position's Purpose and Essential Functions: Responsible for coordinating the ordering of necessary pharmaceuticals, supplies, materials, equipment, and services required for the Pharmacy and various departments of Laredo Medical Center. Ensures hospital values and quality customer service are reflected in all aspects of departmental operations. Qualifications: Behaviors Required:

Pay Range: $16.29 - $26.06 per hour
