Job Description Job Summary: Provides technical support within the pharmacy under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, inventory management, and customer service. Serves as a frontline resource for patient inquiries and supports pharmacy operations to enhance patient care. Responsibilities:
Retrieve, count, label, and prepare medications under pharmacist supervision. Order, stock, and maintain pharmacy supplies and medication inventory. Interpret medication orders, perform calculations, and enter data into pharmacy systems for review. Assist customers at the pharmacy window, handle calls for prescription refills, and triage patient questions. Maintain pharmacy equipment, conduct cleaning protocols, and ensure proper recordkeeping. Refill emergency medication systems, prepare controlled substances documentation, and monitor refrigerator temperatures. Qualifications:
Hold an Alaska Pharmacy Technician license at hire. Obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification within one year of hire. Demonstrate clinical and high-risk competency within three months of employment and ongoing every three years. Possess 1-2 years of customer service or healthcare-related experience preferred. Have knowledge of drug terminology, pharmacy law, and automated pharmacy systems. Benefits & Growth:
