Job Details Position Summary: The P5CTS Pod Technician / Display & Debriefing Subsystem Operator is responsible for the accountability, maintenance, testing, and operational support of P5 Combat Training System (P5CTS) pods and associated subsystems. The role ensures mission readiness through accurate documentation, maintenance execution, system operation, and direct support to aircrew and site leadership. Key Responsibilities
Maintain a detailed log of all P5CTS pods checked in and out of the pod shop, including serial number, pod type, date, time, and remarks Maintain a daily status and availability log for all P5CTS pods Maintain a database of servicing schedules, including due dates and maintenance performed Maintain accurate control logs for Data Recorder Device (DRD) issuance and return Maintain and securely store mission tapes and associated records Maintain a mission event log with specific, concise, and relevant entries including date, time, mission/event, remarks, and operator Operate and maintain the P5CTS Test Set in accordance with applicable technical documentation Perform Organizational-Level (O-Level) and Intermediate-Level (I-Level) maintenance testing Conduct removal and replacement of Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs) Ensure all maintenance actions are properly documented and completed within scheduled timelines Load operational and test programs as required Conduct subsystem tests to assess operational readiness Load pre-mission exercise data into the DRD Operate graphics terminals during live exercises and assist with display and control functions Provide technical support to aircrew for mission replay and debriefing setup Interface directly with aircrew regarding mission sortie effectiveness Liaise with support personnel to report SPEAR/ICADS system faults and ensure software updates are correctly installed Perform additional operational duties as directed by the Site Supervisor Provide monthly mission data to the Site Lead to support reporting requirements Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Quality, Security, and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) policies Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management
Minimum Job Requirements Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential
Technical background in a similar role within a military environment Ability to deliver On-the-Job Training (OJT) as required Basic IT proficiency, including MS Office and testing software Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics Proficiency in the use of electronic tools and diagnostic/test equipment Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in confined spaces as required
Desirable
Military leadership training Experience in network administration Experience working in the Middle East and/or a deployed environment
Education and Qualifications Essential
Two-year college qualification in a technical-related field; or equivalent technical education combined with relevant military experience Valid driving license Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one

Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
