Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $350,000.00/yr Soda is working with one of the most exciting companies in the Agentic AI space, a team that’s transforming how enterprises automate customer support with cutting-edge AI agents. They’re on track to power the next trillion voice interactions. Now, they’re looking for an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to take ownership of their core infrastructure, scale mission-critical systems, and help define the technical foundation of enterprise AI. Responsibilities
Ship and Own Products: Rapidly contribute to backend systems, eventually owning entire product lines. Design Scalable Solutions: Build fast, reliable, and secure infrastructure capable of supporting massive enterprise scale. Collaborate with Founders & Teams: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate ambitious product visions into clear technical roadmaps. Drive Technical Leadership: Set architectural direction, shape engineering best practices, and mentor others as the team grows. Deliver with Impact: Take projects from concept through to production deployment with high ownership and accountability.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of professional backend engineering experience. Strong expertise in Python (Django a plus). Proficiency with AWS or Google Cloud. Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for scaling distributed systems. Experience in high-growth start-ups or entrepreneurial environments (former founders highly valued). Degree in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier program. A gritty, hands-on engineer who thrives in high-ownership environments and takes pride in shipping production-grade work.
Bonus Points
Exposure to ML-powered products or conversational AI systems. Background in technical leadership or mentoring within a small, elite team.
