The Safety Technician supports the execution and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs across all Cleveland operations. Reporting directly to the Cleveland Facilities & EHS Manager, this role is responsible for helping maintain a safe, compliant, and training-focused work environment while supporting the organization's operational growth and employee development initiatives. The Safety Technician will play a key role in establishing and maintaining the Cleveland Safety Dojo program, including the development and stand-up of the Allen Facility Safety Dojo and associated hands-on safety training activities. This position partners closely with Operations, Facilities, People & Culture, and leadership teams to drive safety awareness, compliance, engagement, and continuous improvement across multiple facilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety Program Support
Support daily execution of EHS programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives across all Cleveland facilities.
Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs toidentifyhazards, unsafe behaviors, and compliance gaps.
Assistin the investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, including documentation, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
Monitor and help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, environmental requirements, and internal policies.
Support safety metrics tracking, reporting, and trending toidentifyopportunities for improvement.
Assistinmaintainingrequired safety documentation, records, permits, and compliance files.
Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, response coordination, and equipment readiness.
Lead and support risk assessment activities, safety stand-downs, and corrective action follow-up initiatives across Cleveland operations.
Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, communication, and visibility on the production floor.
Safety Training & Dojo Development
Support the establishment, organization, and continuous improvement of the Allen Facility Safety Dojo training environment.
Assistin building hands-on safety training modules, demonstrations, simulations, and standardized training materials within the Safety Dojo.
Train new hires on company safety expectations, procedures, and safe work practices during onboarding activities. Facilitate and support plant-specific safety training aligned with operational requirements, Pay for Skills initiatives, and predetermined monthly training plans.
Conduct recurring safety training, retraining, toolbox talks, and certification activities for current employees.
Partner with People & Culture, Operational Leadership, and Training teams to align safety training with operational needs, workforce development initiatives, and operational growth demands.
Help track employee training completion, certifications, and recertification requirements.
Support the creation and maintenance of visual management tools, safety boards, training aids, and standardized work instructions related to safety practices.
Operational & Employee Support
Serve as a visible and approachable safety resource for employees and leadership teams across all Cleveland locations.
Support ergonomic assessments, PPE compliance, machine safety initiatives, and hazard mitigation activities.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace safety, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Assist in coordinating contractor safety requirements and visitor safety processes as needed. Support cross-functional initiatives involving Facilities, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Operations teams. KEY COMPENTENCIES

Operational Support & Cross-Functional Partnership MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general workplace safety standards.
Experience supporting employee training, onboarding, instructional activities, or safety education programs preferred.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and facilities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and basic reporting/documentation tools.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or operational safety environment preferred. CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain preferred.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position is primarily on-site and is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments, with frequent presence on the shop floor. The role requires regular cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Human Resources and Leadership teams. The manufacturing environment may involve exposure to varying noise levels, moving machinery, and other conditions typical of a production facility. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas. While performing the essential functions of this role, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, lift, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems. The position may requires lifting and movement consistent with job responsibilities. The role includes occasional presentation and communication responsibilities to executive leadership, including participation in quarterly business reviews. The employee must be able to communicate effectively and observe conditions necessary to perform essential job functions.
