Balfour Beatty is seeking an HCM Reporting and Data Analyst to join our team. This individual will assist in the design, implementation, and management of HCM data analytics and reporting programs. Additionally, the analyst will provide reports, data, and analysis using a variety of reporting tools to improve efficiency, to support decisions, to enable leadership effectiveness, and to enhance stakeholder experience. The selected candidate will also assist with defining strategic vision and system advancement opportunities. This individual will preferably be based out of our Dallas, TX office. Applicants outside of the DFW area who live near a different Balfour Beatty office may be considered as well. Essential functions include: Assist in development and execution of the HCM data analytics strategy to align with organizational objectives. Create and maintain HCM reports and dashboards utilizing appropriate system tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.) to effectively present HR metrics. Conduct in-depth analysis of HR data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations. Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for HR and organizational leaders. Provide reports and various data sets to support HR programs including but not limited to AAP, Vets, compensation, benefits, retirement, etc. Design and create ad hoc reports as needed to respond to data requests. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality of all dashboards and reports. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop solutions. Effectively communicate conceptual design of dashboards to technical team. Actively participate in testing of solutions. Respond to all requests for information within four (4) business days of receipt. If a request cannot be completed within four (4) business days, work with the customer to determine a mutually acceptable date for completion. Provide support, consultation, and research to stakeholders. Manage the customer support email box. Write all documentation for work processes maintaining necessary updates. Actively participate in group status meetings and/or conference calls and respond to identified issues. Actively participate in task team meetings to fully understand end-user needs. Actively participate in vendor conferences, webcasts, and user group communities. Promote customer relations: Builds effective relationships with project teams, functional departments, customers, vendors, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer's expectations. Actively participates in industry, client, and community relations to enhance company image. Culture, leadership and employee development: Promotes our creed. Communicates our vision and purpose through service, talent & choices. Serves as a role model and promotes professional behavior. Participates in personal career development through training, participates in software training and seminars as applicable for this position. Performs other related duties as assigned. Working conditions: The majority of work is completed in an office setting with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking. Some travel is required. This is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days from home). Education, experience, and knowledge: Associate's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience in HR data analytics and reporting Solid understanding of human resources processes, metrics, and best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw meaningful insights from complex data sets Advanced Excel skills Proficiency in data analysis tools and report writing software; Dayforce experience a plus Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI (highly desirable) Able to coordinate and communicate information effectively to project stakeholders and management Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees while maintaining a constant focus on meeting/exceeding stakeholder requirements and expectations Ability to travel intermittently, up to 10% of schedule Balfour Beatty is an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
