CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support large-scale data initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business and data requirements, translating them into database and ETL specifications, and ensuring data solutions align with business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA resources throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. Responsibilities include defining source-to-target mappings, documenting business processes, validating data loads, developing and executing test scenarios, and supporting the resolution of complex data quality issues. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, advanced SQL skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across technical and business teams. Required qualifications to be successful in this role include: 8+ years of experience in software development, data analysis, or related technology roles, including experience supporting large-scale, complex enterprise projects. Strong understanding and practical experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to translate business requirements into detailed database, data mapping, and ETL specifications. Experience creating and maintaining source-to-target mapping documentation. Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and database querying. Strong understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and ETL processes. Experience documenting business processes, workflows, and functional requirements. Ability to develop, execute, and support testing activities for data loads and data quality validation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder interaction. Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving data-related issues. Familiarity with testing tools such as HP Quality Center or Mercury Quality Center is preferred. Experience working in enterprise-scale financial services environments is highly desirable. Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and AWS environments is beneficial.
