Job Summary: Explore healthcare careers through a unique job shadowing experience designed for individuals eager to observe specific clinical roles or departments. This opportunity offers a one-time, unpaid observation to help you determine if a particular healthcare path aligns with your interests. Job Description: Participants will shadow healthcare professionals or teams to gain firsthand insight into various medical roles. Scheduling is coordinated by a dedicated Volunteer Services team, aiming to provide the most relevant and enriching experiences based on your interests. Education & Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years old for standard shadowing; some roles require participants to be 18 or older. Observation only; no hands-on participation. Shadowing duration does not exceed 7 days. Submission of vaccine documentation and any additional paperwork as requested by the Volunteer Services coordinator. Applications must specify areas of interest and availability dates at least 3 weeks to a month in advance; earlier dates will not be considered.
For those interested in the Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) pathway, direct contact with the relevant medical school is recommended for shadowing opportunities. Work Shift: Scheduled as arranged. Regional Location: This opportunity is available within the Midwest region of the United States.
