As the Platform Database Administrator (DBA) for Aurora, this full-time remote position will manage high-scale database environments, focusing on performance tuning, optimization strategies, and system reliability across core software suites. Key responsibilities
Optimize slow database queries and design indexing strategies to enhance performance across multiple databases Manage AWS Aurora environments, ensuring consistent system performance and reliability across 400+ database schemas Supervise MySQL/InnoDB internals tuning and implement advanced data pipeline optimizations
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Extensive experience with AWS relational database environments, particularly AWS Aurora Proficient in MySQL/InnoDB core behaviors and advanced indexing strategies Experience in system-level database performance profiling and query optimization Strong communication skills with a track record of collaborating with software engineering teams
