Job Overview Our Enterprise Application Solution Architect is the visionary connector between business strategy and technical execution. In this role, you will design and own the end-to-end SAP application architecture that powers our rapidly scaling operations. You will lead the translation of complex business requirements into cohesive, scalable solutions spanning ERP, CRM, logistics, and data platforms, ensuring they integrate together. While your primary lens is architectural, you will bring hands‑on expertise across multiple SAP modules to guide solution design decisions that are both innovative and pragmatic.
A Typical Day Define and govern the overall application solution architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise application architecture and technology standards, business goals, and long‑term scalability across ERP, CRM, WMS, Analytics and ancillary systems.
Partner with business stakeholders and IT leadership to translate high‑level requirements into architecture blueprints, solution designs, and roadmaps.
Lead architecture design sessions and solution workshops, driving decisions on system integration, data flows, and module interactions across SAP S/4HANA SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, GTS, and adjacent platforms.
Evaluate, recommend, and oversee the adoption of new SAP capabilities including S/4HANA, BTP, and cloud‑native extensions.
Author and maintain architecture artifacts including Solution Architecture Documents, Integration Architecture Diagrams, Functional and Technical Design Documents, and Architecture Decision Records.
Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for SAP delivery teams, providing architectural guidance to engineers, configurators, and ABAP developers.
Identify and address architectural risks, technical debt, and opportunities for process optimization across the SAP landscape.
Collaborate with external partners, system integrators, and SAP representatives to ensure solutions meet best practices and licensing considerations.
To Land This Opportunity
You have a minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise application design, with at least 4 years in architecture or lead architect role across multiple large‑scale SAP implementations.
You have deep functional and/or technical expertise across two or more core SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, GTS, WM/EWM), with the ability to fluently engage across all of them at an architectural level.
You have experience with SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred, including greenfield or brownfield migrations.
You have hands‑on S/4HANA implementation or conversion project leadership.
You have experience with cloud‑native architecture and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred with a focus on SAP RISE Private Cloud.
You have demonstrable experience designing integration architectures leveraging IDOCs, ODATA, CXML, CSV, REST/SOAP APIs, RFC calls, Datasphere/BCP and SAP BTP / Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).
You have experience architecting solutions for complex distribution or manufacturing environments, including multi‑plant scenarios, order routing, cross‑border trade, and global compliance requirements.
You can articulate and apply common Enterprise Integration Patterns and Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SAP EA Framework) in practice.
You have experience collaborating with and guiding ABAP development teams to realize complex custom solutions, with direct ABAP development experience considered a significant plus.
You are skilled at producing architecture and design documentation that is both technically precise and accessible to non‑technical stakeholders.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success influencing decisions at the executive and business leadership level.
You have a working understanding of core international business processes including sales order management, procurement, distribution logistics, trade compliance, and financial controls.
You thrive managing multiple workstreams and priorities concurrently without losing sight of the big architectural picture.
You have experience defining integration testing strategies and facilitating user acceptance testing for SAP solution deliverables.
You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
You love to work collaboratively with the team and share new concepts and ideas – SAP is a team sport here.
About Your Future Team Our team values transparency and is committed to ensuring team members feel appreciated and supported. We prioritize a positive workplace culture where collaboration, growth, and work‑life balance are celebrated. The salary range for this role is $130,722.12 to $176,414.35 annually, which is based on qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Parts Town also offers a profit‑sharing program, annual bonus, and other performance‑based compensation.
