Location: Largo, FL, United States Role Type: Onsite Security Clearance: Top Secret required. U.S. citizenship required. Job Overview Collins Aerospace is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to join the Starburst Engineering Department. The position involves implementing and sustaining cyber security solutions for the Starburst program. Responsibilities Implement and sustain requirements for deployed products and services in operational and sustainment states. Operate within a custom, air‑gapped, DoD IT network to perform advanced support and deploy new capabilities. Create and present materials to convey concepts to a broad audience. Create, update, and maintain system documentation, schematics, and operational guides. Interface with other teams to define and implement cyber risk posture, mitigation, and information assurance across the enterprise IT service portfolio. Work primarily onsite in a protected environment with occasional off‑site opportunities. Required Qualifications Solid background in systems administration using Linux and Windows desktop/server OS (Windows11/Server2022/RHEL). Understanding of on‑premises enterprise IT systems and their impact on security for ICAM, secure messaging, logging, cyber situational awareness, and endpoint detection and response. DoD8570IAT LevelII certification (e.g., CISSP, Security+). Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 2years of relevant experience (or an advanced degree). Preferred Qualifications Proficient with enterprise identity management (LDAP, Active Directory, PKI). Experience with servers, workstations, and various COTS software platforms. Experience maintaining Windows servers and troubleshooting applications. Experience with enterprise firewalls and firewall policies/rulesets. Basic network engineering fundamentals: OSI layers, IP addressing, subnetting, TCP/IP stack, VLANs, well‑known ports and protocols. Salary 68,900USD—131,100USD per year.
