Job Title Systems Analyst
Organization Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC)
Primary Location Austin, Texas
Job Summary The Texas Real Estate Commission seeks an experienced Systems Analyst to support our licensing system, business processes, and product support. This position involves advanced systems analysis work, coordinating requirement planning, developing technical solutions, automating processes, and improving agency effectiveness.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week. Flexible work schedule / Hybrid telecommuting.
Salary $5,100.00 - $6,700.00 monthly (commensurate with experience).

Responsibilities
Coordinate with process owners to identify system requirements and develop functional design specifications.
Oversee staff training prior to system implementation and provide guidance during implementation.
Assist in defining testing plans and coordinate testing activities for IT systems.
Develop and implement timely solutions to support agency and IT initiatives.
Coordinate and/or participate in the development and execution of enterprise‑level strategies and technical direction, including establishing processes and procedures.
Evaluate and compare technical solutions to propose recommendations and direction.
Coordinate projects that span functional agency systems and external entities, including planning, scheduling during development and implementation stages.
Understand and write SQL in Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with coursework in computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing professional licensing applications from vendors such as Accela.
Certifications in programming, business analysis, or similar.
Ability to use system logs to trace and resolve errors in a scripting environment.
Ability to parse and interact with JSON payloads.

Environmental & Physical Conditions Normal office work environment, mostly sedentary. Involves speaking to groups, phone usage, repetitive computer use, and occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
