Overview We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our brand-new Charlotte, NC location. This hybrid role focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting our growing network infrastructure while collaborating with the corporate security team to build and maintain security controls that protect our environment and customers. Responsibilities Implement products, platforms, software, hardware, or appliance-based solutions related to network and network security. Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements. Design and manage the rollout of various network infrastructures with necessary capacity planning, performance tuning, and configuration optimization. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. Maintain network security across the global enterprise; analyze networks for security threats. Monitor the organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate violations when they occur. Use network tools for administration, maintenance, automation, and visualization reporting. Develop technical documentation describing the deployment, configuration, and management of network infrastructure. Participate in IT security audits. Respond to existing audits and ensure required controls are implemented as required. Build strong relationships outside of IT to understand business needs. Communicate complex details in a way that people can understand. Advocate for the end user and stakeholder by becoming associated with the products, empathizing with and understanding user needs. Experience & Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT, configuring and installing various network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS. Advanced technical skills and experience with L2 and L3 protocols and technologies such as IPSec, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, VPC, QoS, 802.1x. Familiarity with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and NXOS. Experience with platforms – NetScaler, F5, Riverbed, Palo Alto, Cisco Catalyst, ISR, ASR, Nexus, ASA/FTD. Cisco ACI knowledge is a plus. Understanding of open‑source and other tools to assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, and strong attention to detail. Certifications & Education One or more of the following certifications: Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE. B.S. or M.S. in Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience. Work Schedule & Location Hybrid work in Charlotte, NC. Flexible schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends. Base Pay Range $125,100.00 - $152,900.00 (actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and geographic location).
