Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks an innovative Data Analyst Intern who can work part‑time during the school year and full‑time during the summer in Moscow, Idaho. The role offers hands‑on experience in data analysis, dashboard creation, and data quality improvement. Responsibilities Review data and create charts, dashboards, and reports as assigned. Develop methods to prevent data inconsistencies at the source; review, validate, research, clean, and transform data anomalies. Communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Support analysts in improving existing reports and data sources. Follow SEL values, principles of operations, and world‑class manufacturing principles. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Current student pursuing a degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Social Sciences. Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access. Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project‑management skills. Strong attention to detail. Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills. Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities. Background‑check results satisfactory to SEL. Negative drug‑test result(s). Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python, R, SQL or other analytic languages. Experience with reporting software such as Web Intelligence or Power BI. Physical Requirements None. Location & Compensation The position is located in Moscow, Idaho. Pay ranges from $21.00 to $28.75 per hour, based on the role and academic year.
