Job Details Job Location: FORT MILL Corporate Site - FORT MILL, SC 29708 Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Business Intelligence Developer AT A GLANCE Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT and Business Intelligence team. This position will be responsible for supporting and managing a program of business unit‑focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information. The role contributes to Broad River’s success by ensuring business needs and goals are realized through analysis and reporting activities of the Business Intelligence Team. DAY IN THE LIFE Empower business leaders with concise, high‑quality information to identify and address business opportunities and threats. Consult on the interpretation of data for various business partners throughout the organization. Document requirements in a format that can be shared with stakeholders. Support all scheduled and non‑recurring information needs of users. Provide end‑user education for the interpretation of business data. Utilize a user group forum to share best practices around analytical findings based on the analysis conducted. Understand data elements in the data warehouse at a detailed level to support research, ad‑hoc queries, and large information projects. Monitor and manage requests from users through development, QA, and launch processes. Query data to provide information requested by users. Present data in an easily understandable format with proper documentation for successful user adoption. Manage the delivery of critical projects through scope/requirement setting, working with the development team, conducting user acceptance testing, and packaging the final product for end‑user adoption. Consolidate redundant reporting and ensure information is used consistently and efficiently across the company. Apply best practices for effective communication and problem‑solving. Prioritize requirements and create conceptual prototypes and mock‑ups. Provide first‑tier end‑user support in SSAS and address data discrepancies. Internal opportunities for career growth and advancement. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science. Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience and passion for leveraging data to drive significant business impact. Ability to speak to groups with advanced presentation skills. Ability to perform critical thinking in code development. Intellectual curiosity to work through ambiguity. Ability to prioritize, organize effectively, and manage multiple projects or assignments. Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with Pivot tables and Power Query in Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, and Functions. Experience working with one or more BI platforms. Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services 2016. Understanding of SSRS web portal security 2016, SSAS development, SSIS development, and Agile methodology. Familiarity with Power BI. Ability to perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management. WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment.
