Craft customized treatment plans focused not just on immediate needs but on longer-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions centered on voice, fluency, language, and swallowing challenges. Team up with a multidisciplinary group-physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical professionals, and family members-to provide holistic and comprehensive care. Educate patients and their families, empowering them to aid in rehabilitation outside of therapy hours. Support inpatient care with occasional evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum throughout the therapy process. Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to all regulatory requirements set forth by local and national standards. Engage in continuous learning through ongoing education and collaboration with peers in the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications
State license as a Speech Language Pathologist. ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within a month of joining the team. Skills
