Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical education programs that support orientation, ongoing competency, and professional development for all hospice clinical staff (licensed and unlicensed). Facilitates structured onboarding for new hires, ensuring completion of required hospice competencies, regulatory training, and agency-specific clinical skill validation. Serves as the primary clinical education resource for staff by providing guidance on standards of practice, regulatory changes, evidence-based hospice care, and clinical workflow clarification. Assesses and validates clinical competency of new hires and existing staff, including the demonstration of core hospice skills, accurate documentation practices, symptom management techniques, and all competencies outlined by ACHC and CMS regulations. Designs and delivers continuing education, in-service training, simulation, and skill-based labs to support ongoing staff development, clinical skill advancement, and quality care delivery. Collaborates with hospice leadership and quality teams to identify knowledge gaps, develop corrective education plans, support quality improvement initiatives, and ensure staff practices align with agency policies and accreditation standards. Maintains responsibility for annual training required, including updates on clinical practices, competency renewals, hospice regulatory changes, infection prevention, safety, and emergency preparedness education. Coordinates with Human Resources and departmental leadership to schedule orientation sessions, monitor completion of required training, and maintain accurate educational records for compliance review. Participates actively in agency Performance Improvement (PI) activities, providing education driven by PI findings and contributing to the development of performance-based competencies. Ensures all education supports the hospice philosophy, interdisciplinary practice model, and high-quality patient- and family-centered care. Performs other job-related duties as assigned in support of the hospice mission, accreditation standards, and departmental needs. Work Schedule: 80 Hours Biweekly, Full-Time. Qualifications /Training:
Minimum of 5 years related work experience and/or training Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education:
