What Your Role Involves
Assess patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized evaluations and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment strategies targeting both immediate objectives and overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focused on essentials such as voice, fluency, language, and swallowing. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to curate comprehensive care plans. Provide education for patients and their families to enhance progress beyond clinical settings. Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the patient journey. Keep meticulous and timely documentation in line with state regulations and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and cooperative learning to stay abreast of innovations in the field. Qualifications Required
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Licensure and Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. CCC-SLP from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills You'll Bring
