Performing thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses collaboratively with physicians, or independently if credentialed Providing education to patients and their families on prevention, wellness, and disease management Prescribing medications and therapies within your scope of practice Involving in patient follow-ups and chronic care management Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, holistic care Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation within electronic health records (EHR) Educational Background
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Licensure and Certification Requirements
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Illinois National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain within 90 days) Key Skills That Distinguish You
