Regular supervision to grow clinical/professional skills What You'll Do as a Medical Assistant: Primary duties:
Assist in coordinating care in the Elkhart Outpatient department.
Will administer medications, phlebotomy services, precautions monitoring and pain reassessments.
Will work interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to clients.
Knows the organization's and department's goals. Is sensitive to the interrelationships of both people and functions within the department.
Will follow Meaningful Use measures.
May also be required to provide injections, test blood glucose and/or draw blood for lab tests.
Interacts directly with clients and families.
Interacts frequently with physicians, and other center employees involved in the case.
The frequency varies with needs, availability of client, and directives from clinician working with the patient and treatment plan.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Certification or Registration adjustment Associate of Applied Science degree from a CAAHEP or AMT-accredited program preferred.
1-2 years of clinical or community experience recommended.
