Description
Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using standardized tools and observational assessments. Create tailored treatment strategies that cater to immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Cooperate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop well-rounded care plans. Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress outside the therapy space. Conduct occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care throughout the recovery journey. Adhere to accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations. Stay updated with field developments through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Education
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Skills
