The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: The Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider provides health care to neonates, infants and children up to one year of age. The APP provides care for critically ill premature and full-term infants with an emphasis placed on family centered culturally diverse sensitive care. In collaboration with the Neonatologist, the APP has daily responsibility for the assessment and management of patients in high and low acuity. The Advanced Practice Provider practices in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to provide a continuum of primary, acute and or subspecialty healthcare to their patients. They enhance the quality of care through education and clinical practice utilizing advanced practice, knowledge and research. General Requirements:
CDS and DEA Current NRP and BLS certification APN Specific Requirements:
APN License RN License One of the following NNP Certification with NICU RN experience Primary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient setting Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification with PICU setting procedural experience as an APP
PA Specific Requirements
PA License PICU procedural experience or NICU experience as an APP NCCPA
Scheduling Requirements:
Full Time Essential Functions:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients. Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in collaboration with a physician. Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Perform procedures as necessary. Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health education. Stay current with medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations. Engage in continuing education and professional development activities. Participate in research or quality improvement projects as directed or needed.
