Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate objectives and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on various facets of communication including articulation, fluency, and voice. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop integrated care plans that enhance patient outcomes. Engage in educational sessions for patients and families to foster improvement and independence outside of a clinical setting. Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment process. Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner following best practices and regulatory guidelines. Commit to ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and collaboration with colleagues. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications
Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire. Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based treatment techniques for patients of all ages, along with expertise in evaluating and addressing speech and language disorders. Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Flexibility in adapting therapy methods to accommodate individuals from varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
