Assess patients across all age groups utilizing standardized testing and direct observation techniques. Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate milestones and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized therapy interventions for language, dysphagia, fluency, and voice disorders. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and family caregivers to construct integrated care plans. Provide educational resources to patients and their families, enhancing progress outside of therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, maintaining continuity in patient care. Document evaluations and therapy sessions accurately, aligned with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in lifelong learning by participating in continuing education and peer discussions to stay at the forefront of the field. Education
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications
Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire. Skills
