Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 210 MARIE LANGDON DR City: MANCHESTER State: Kentucky Postal Code: 40962 Job Description:
Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
Scrubs, gowns, and gloves for surgical procedures.
Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedures, displaying knowledge of procedure and patient positioning.
Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.
Gowns and gloves surgeon and assistants.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care which addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety age appropriate needs of the patient populations served within the department. [Required]
Interpersonal skills Required
Completion of validation skills Required
Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field set-up Required
Knowledge of sterilization techniques Required
Education:
High School Grad or Equiv Required
Field of Study:
Graduate of Surgical Technology Program
Work Experience:
1+ prior or experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications:
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Preferred
