Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Location: Washington Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule: Day Shift: 4x10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) with weekend rotation required every 6 weeks. Job Description: The Occupational Therapist will work in a Short Term Acute Care / Level III Trauma Center, providing assessments and treatments to patients across various units including Acute Care, Medical, ICU, and Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility. The ideal candidate must possess acute care experience and a Washington state license. Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses such as multi-trauma, spinal cord injuries, strokes, and orthopedic conditions. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic interventions and patient education. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning. Flexibly manage a varied patient load and accommodate any immediate staffing needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
Active Washington state Occupational Therapist license. Experience in acute care settings is mandatory. At least 1 year of prior experience in occupational therapy is preferred. Experience with IPR (Inpatient Rehabilitation) is highly desirable. Ability to float between various units as needed.
