Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, order diagnostic tests, and design personalized care plans Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently as per credentialing Educate patients and families about prevention strategies, wellness, and disease management Prescribe medications and therapies within your scope of practice Engage in patient follow-up and chronic care management Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, seamless care Accurately document patient interactions using electronic medical records (EMR) Essential Education
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Graduation from a certified Nurse Practitioner program Mandatory Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days) Key Skills That Elevate You
