My client, a growing Irish group based in Kildare seek an experienced and dynamic group Financial Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and ambitious business, as the business enters their next phase of growth. The Financial Controller will report to the CFO and have overall responsibility for the leadership, performance, and governance of the finance team. The role combines oversight of day-to-day financial operations with ownership of financial controls, financial planning and ensuring robust governance and the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting to support business strategy. The Role Financial & Management Reporting Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Prepare monthly management accounts and performance reports.. Produce quarterly management accounts and supporting analysis for Board reporting and bank covenant compliance. Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate the year-end audit process. Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. Produce financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities to drive the implementation and delivery of the group business plan. Collaborate with operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management. Taxation Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT, PAYE, and other returns Coordinate corporation tax requirements with external tax advisors. Finance Operations Oversee the day-to-day finance operations across the Group. Oversee the purchase ledger function and supplier payment process. Manage group cashflow, liquidity and working capital requirements. Systems, Controls & Governance Review and enhance financial controls, policies, and procedures across the Group. Lead initiatives to improve finance systems, reporting efficiency, and overall financial administration. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best practice within the finance team. The Person Professional accounting qualification is essential. 10+ years of financial management experience, preferably within a high growth Irish business. Exposure to multi entity groups with intercompany movement would be beneficial. Strong technical accounting & taxation knowledge Experience preparing management accounts, statutory accounts, and audit coordination. Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth environment is desirable. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail. Advanced proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
