Perform thorough patient evaluations, prescribe diagnostic tests, and craft individualized care strategies Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, or episodic health issues, collaborating with physicians or practicing autonomously based on your credentials Educate patients and their families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management Prescribe medications and treatments according to the scope of your practice Engage in patient follow-up and manage chronic care needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, comprehensive care Ensure accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Education and Certification Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in California National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or its equivalent in specialty Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days Essential Skills and Attributes
