Assess patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments and craft personalized treatment strategies Perform physical therapy interventions aimed at enhancing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function Work in tandem with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation team members to optimize patient outcomes Inform patients and their families about therapeutic goals, discharge procedures, and home exercise programs Keep detailed records on evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress to align with facility and regulatory standards Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive patient care Education
Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable qualification from an accredited institution Certifications
Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Preferred: CPR certification Specialty certifications (e.g., in neurology, geriatrics) are a bonus, though not necessary Skills
Robust prior experience is highly preferred Capability to treat patients facing complicated medical and mobility challenges Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with digital documentation and clinical charting systems Benefits
