Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Special Procedures Technologist-R, you will help patients across all age ranges (neonate to geriatric) undergo general radiographic and more complex imaging procedures so they can receive accurate diagnostic medical images for effective medical care. Every day you will exercise independent judgment to assess the particular circumstances of each procedure and perform a broad range of imaging. You will be expected to positively identify patients, correlate procedures with physician orders, explain procedures, ensure written consents are completed, maintain a clean and safe work environment, report equipment issues, accurately determine and enter patient charges, maintain patient privacy and dignity, and participate in Quality Improvement efforts. To be successful in this role you must be a certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) and hold a current California license as a certified Radiologic Technologist with a Fluoroscopic permit. You must also possess proficiency in general radiology and at least one other modality (e.g., Angiography, MRI, CT, or Mammography), a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology related to imaging, and operate and care for imaging equipment effectively. Job Requirements
California State Department of Health Services certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
Current California license as certifed Radiologic Technologist with Fluoroscopic permit.
Medical Radiographer: CA.
Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA.
Preferred
Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT.
