Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care strategies Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, working collaboratively with physicians or independently based on qualifications Instructing patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and ongoing disease management Prescribing medications and treatments in accordance with practice guidelines Engaging in proactive patient follow-up and comprehensive chronic care management Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered care Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation within electronic medical records (EMR) Education & Certification Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Necessary Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or relevant specialty certification Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the capacity to obtain them within 90 days) Distinctive Skills
