Nuclear Med Technologist As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides. Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety. To be successful in this role demands current certification, advanced technical expertise, and an exceptional eye for detail, coupled with a thorough understanding of radiation safety. Your compassionate patient care and dedication to precise imaging will be essential.
Displays competency operating syntrac system and nuclear medicine equipment including performing procedures in the department, in the operating room, and on a mobile basis Displays a thorough knowledge of anatomy, positioning and of various isotopes utilized. Displays competency injecting isotopes, if required Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available radiation protection devices. Ensure badges are worn appropriately and readings are available Accurately marks all radiographs with R's and L's. Accurately marks whether an image is upright or supine (when applicable), assures that the patient information is clearly visible Accurately completes electronic documentation in Meditech and PACS Practices good sterile technique when required and utilizes universal precautions and other infection control practices as appropriate
Required
Successful completion of a certified Nuclear Medicine program. and Must have experience in the completion of all Nuclear Medicine studies with Cardiac Imaging knowledge as well, upon hire and Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, upon hire or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, upon hire and Nuclear Medical Technologist: AZ, upon hire and American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS), upon hire
