Lead Recovery Technician To ensure programmatic activities are being followed as per the standards set by the program's mission. Provide direct support to individuals served with behavioral health needs while supervising and guiding other technicians. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Monitor, observe, and document individual served behavior and progress. Assist individuals served with daily living activities and programmatic routines. Support treatment plans designed by therapists that include reinforce participation in PSR groups, individual sessions, and monitoring and support of individual's served activities of daily living (ADL's). Conduct psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) groups, if deemed necessary. Distribute medication to individuals served, if deemed necessary. Maintain structured, non-disruptive environment in house, as well as on outings. Night monitoring, as required.
Staff Leadership:
Train, mentor, and supervise recovery technicians. Facilitate team meetings and ensure effective communication among staff. Provide feedback and support to improve staff performance.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate individual served records and ensure HIPAA compliance (e.g., RT shift notes, house logs, vehicle inspection logs, incident reports, etc.) Manage and disseminate individuals served data to the treatment team. Coordinate schedules and ensure adequate staffing coverage as needed with Residential Manager. Provide coverage for any vacant shifts due to call outs. Collaborate with the Chaplain to coordinate activities for the individuals served. Administer disciplinary actions when necessary, addressing identified performance issues in accordance with agency policies and procedures to promote accountability and maintain standards of care. Document deficiencies and communicate with managers both verbally and in writing.
Lead Recovery Technicians are expected to man the floor as needed when shifts are short staffed. Uphold organizational mission, vision, and values. Ensure adherence to facility policies, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensure safety drills are completed in a timely fashion. Perform daily inspections of the facility for security and cleanliness purposes. Qualifications To successfully perform in this position, the employee must be able to execute each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Bachelor's Degree preferred and/or equivalent experience in related field for 1 year. This position includes a probationary period of 4 months. During this time, performance and suitability for the role will be assessed. Successful completion of the probation period will confirm continued employment. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to fifteen pounds. Most of the work is in a climate-controlled facility. The noise level varies from quiet to moderate too loud.
