What You'll Do
Operate fluoroscopy equipment to acquire diagnostic images of coronary and peripheral vascular issues Assist in patient setup, prep, and post-procedure cleanup, ensuring safety and comfort Monitor hemodynamic parameters, reporting findings to the physician during procedures Maintain radiation safety standards, managing doses to minimize exposure for patients and staff Document procedures accurately for billing and quality assurance purposes Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe procedure flow
What You Need
Valid ARRT registration and State Radiologic Technologist licensure Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications through AHA Minimum 2 years of experience in Rad Tech or Cath Lab setting Strong computer skills and the ability to operate imaging software and PACS systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of federal, state, and local radiation and safety regulations
About the Assignment This role involves working within a busy, high-acuity cardiac catheterization lab. The technologist supports diagnostic and interventional procedures by operating imaging equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and ensuring radiation safety.
