divh2Tech Assistant/h2pHeartland Imaging is seeking a Tech Assistant to join our patient-focused team!/ppPosition Status: PRN (as needed for staffing coverage)/ppLocation: outpatient imaging center in Elizabethtown/ppThis position is primarily weekday evenings, with a rotating Saturday shift./ppEssential Job Functions:/pulliIdentifies patients and provides assistance with the completion of pre-procedure forms./liliStarts IV access according to standard procedure under the direction of a Radiologist, and in accordance with state law./liliCorroborates patients clinical history with physicians order and procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner. May also verify informed consent, if applicable./liliProvides optimal patient care by explaining procedure to patient and answering questions./liliFollows established Safety Standards to ensure safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff./liliCollaborates with referring clinics to facilitate patient care./liliAssists staff with supply inventory needs and keeps rooms stocked as appropriate./liliMaintains all medical record documentation in RIS and PACS as appropriate./liliParticipates in ongoing customer service and process improvement efforts./liliFacilitates film/CD readiness as needed for patients and referring offices./liliParticipates in performance improvement activities./liliDemonstrates consistent use of AIDET (Acknowledge patient, Introduce yourself, provide Duration/timeline for test, Explain the test, Thank them for choosing our center) and HEAL (Hear them out, Empathize, Apologize, Leap into action to solve) when interacting with patients/customers./liliTakes the initiative to help other modalities/areas of the Imaging Center as assigned or when work load/area allows./liliAttends/participates in staff meetings, in-services, and center-wide meetings as scheduled./liliPerforms all other duties as assigned./li/ulpWe offer competitive base pay, shift differential pay for qualifying shifts, 401(k) company matching program, and no on-call or holidays.
