Setting: Acute Care - 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM); 3 shifts per week; every other weekend required
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
Charting: MEDITECH (experience a plus)

Job Requirements Active Illinois RN license required (must submit)
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience as an ICU RN or Critical Care Nurse
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Proven experience running codes and serving as Code Blue Command RN
Skill titrating and mixing critical drips (e.g., Levophed, Neo-Synephrine, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK)
Phlebotomy skills and prior travel nurse experience highly preferred
MEDITECH charting experience is a plus
Core Responsibilities Deliver primary nursing care to critically ill patients in an 8-bed ICU (ICU RN duties)
Act as Code Blue Command RN: run codes and respond to emergencies
Titrate and mix critical care medications as required
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips (no monitor tech on unit)
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams
Float to MedSurg, Telemetry, or ER as needed and carry a full patient load
Document care accurately in MEDITECH and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
Participate in holiday and weekend rotations per assignment schedule
Preferred Skills & Experience Strong critical thinking and bedside assessment skills for ICU nursing
Comfortable with ventilator management, arterial/central line monitoring, and hemodynamic support
Experience in fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environments and prior travel nurse assignments
