Pharmacy Technician 2 Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday – Friday, various shifts. Every other weekend. The Pharmacy Inventory Operations Specialist ensures uninterrupted medication and supply availability through daily purchasing, shortage mitigation, receiving/put-away, inventory optimization, invoice/credit reconciliation, and recall communication. In addition, this role provides as needed daily technician staffing support to maintain operational coverage in patient-care workflows. Featured Benefits:

Pharmacy Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:
Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies. Accurately pre-packs medications and restocks code cart and stock kits. Restocks assigned areas, puts away unused medications in addition to utilizing want book and associated inventory management procedures. Orders items, properly stocks shelves, processes returns and identifies vendor errors. Accurately fills automated dispensing devices and unit dose pick, first doses and floor stock. Assists Pharmacist in drug selection and counting medications accurately.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School or GED. Experience: One (1) year Pharmacy Technician hospital experience. Certification: Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: One (1) year IV training/experience.
