Employment Type: Locum tenens / Temporary Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Setting: Inpatient Structural Heart Cardiology (inpatient cardiology, cardiac care)
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts per week (full-time coverage required)
No call or weekend shifts - excellent work-life balance for locum NP jobs
Guaranteed Hours per Day: 8
Estimated Weekly Pay: $4,100 - $4,390 (competitive locum tenens pay for Cardiology NP roles)
Job Requirements Active Nurse Practitioner license in Washington (WA) or IMLC eligible (WA license preferred)
Board Certification required (NP Board Certification)
Valid DEA license required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of inpatient cardiology experience; structural heart experience (TAVR, Mitral clip, post-procedure care) strongly preferred
Current CV/resume must be provided for immediate consideration
Ability to commit to full-time coverage for the entire assignment period
Responsibilities Provide advanced practice inpatient cardiology care as a Structural Heart Nurse Practitioner / Cardiology NP
Manage 8-12 patient encounters per shift, including pre- and post-procedure assessments for structural heart interventions
Collaborate closely with interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, cath lab teams, and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate patient care
Document patient care, progress notes, and discharge planning accurately and in a timely manner
Participate in clinical rounds, contribute to patient management plans, and support quality and safety initiatives
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices for inpatient cardiac care
