Title: Clinic Orthodontic Assistant / Orthodontic Surgical Assistant (Travel)

Shift: 10-hour days, Monday-Friday (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay: Estimated weekly pay $1,560 - $1,670

Who We're Looking For We seek a skilled Clinic Orthodontic Assistant with hands-on clinical experience supporting orthodontic and surgical procedures. This travel orthodontic assistant role is perfect for dental assistants and certified surgical technologists who want to work in a fast-paced clinic setting in Akron, OH. Job Requirements / Qualifications Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an Orthodontic Assistant, Dental Assistant, or Surgical Technologist
Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist or dental assisting program
BCLS Certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required
Current National Certified Surgical Technologist (NCST) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred
Proficiency operating sterilizers and infection control procedures (sterilization, instrument handling)
Ability to adjust operating tables, prepare instruments, and function as a scrub person during procedures
Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-centered customer service skills
Comfort interacting with diverse patient populations in a clinic/oral surgery setting
Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies for orthodontic and surgical procedures
Act as a scrub person and assist the clinical team during ortho trauma, neuro, spine, gynecology, and urology cases as needed
Support orthodontic procedures including instrument passing, suction, and chairside assistance
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment (infection control, sterilization protocols)
Collaborate with dentists, orthodontists, surgeons, and the patient care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic and surgical support role
Provide exceptional patient care while upholding patient dignity, comfort, and respect
